Notes: The D-Kl copy was earlier listed as S 6441 on the basis of a typographic error: MDLXXIX (i.e. 1579) on the title page of the Cantus part. The title pages of all the other parts, however, uniformly bear the date 1589, confirming that this D-Kl copy in fact also belongs to S 6442 of 1589, which must thus be considered the first edition. This is also confirmed by the context in which the D-Kl exemplar survives, for the volume is grouped with six other motet prints bound together: five are Amadino prints, one by Scotto, all published between 1589 & 1593; while the remaining print is a posthumous Gardano edition of Rore's Sacrae cantiones, dated 1595. In other words, the 1579 edition never existed, and so this record was merged with RISM ID no. 990062729 (representing RISM A/I S 6441).
