Laut HantelmannA 2016 wurde diese Arie für die Aufführung von "Arsace" sowohl in Crema anlässlich der Messe 1741 als auch in Mailand am 26. Dezember 1743 (Karnevalssaison 1744) verwendet, jedoch mit unterschiedlicher Vertonung des Textes. Die Mailänder Version dürfte von Ch. W. Gluck für Giuseppa Uzeda neu komponiert worden sein. Laut WotG gehört diese Arie zu der 1. Fassung der Oper "Artamene" ("Il Tigrane") von Ch. W. Gluck.
