Zur Datierung und Provenienz: Eine Oper 'Adriano in Siria' von Bernasconi ist für das Jahr 1755 in München belegt (Sartori 403). Die vorliegende Arie fehlt jedoch in der Münchner Fassung. An ihrer Stelle erscheint ein Duett mit abweichender Musik und abweichendem Text. (Vgl. D-Mbs Mus.ms. 185)
Das in der württembergischen Kapelle häufig benutzte Papier und die Signatur Caspars, die spätestens 1743 vergeben wurde, deuten auf eine Entstehung der Handschrift in Stuttgart bis 1743. (Vgl. KrügerR 2006, vol. 2/1, p. 53)
