First piece in the section of the ms. headed 'The 8:|th Sett Consisting of 3: Motets & One Madrigal for 6: Voices'
    Incomplete, wanting the sesto part
Printed in Barsanti's Sei antifone ... opera quinta (London c. 1750)
Cantus / Canto, Altus, Tenor / Tenore, Bassus, Quintus
    Madrigal Society Collection
    [S.l.], [s.n.], 18th century, second half
The Sesto part-book is missing (the Basso 2 part is merely a copy of Basso 1); hence all the six-voice pieces lack a part. All the part-books, with the exception of the Tenor and Basso 1, have a foliation pencilled in by a later hand, starting from the first page of music. The canto has two consecutive folios numbered '29' and '29x'; its f. 99 is badly damaged. The Tenor bears some inconsistent numberings, both inked and pencilled; the folios of the Basso 1 part were numbered by the main scribe
Contents pages are found at the beginning of the tenor part
On the fly-leaf of each part is pasted a list of pieces, probably relating to a performance of the works in question
On loan to the British Library from the Madrigal Society. Deposited in 1954
Cantus, Altus, Tenor, Basso 1, Basso 2, Quinto
