Contemporary Italian manuscript containing 45 arias in full score and 2 minuets for keyboard. Black ink on 10-stave paper. Without title. Ten of the arias are attributed to 'Giorgio Enrico Hendel detto il Sassone', and are all from Agrippina. Nine arias are attributed to Francesco Feo, a Neapolitan composer, and are from his first opera, L'amor tirannico, performed in Naples in 1713. The rest of the arias are anonymous, but according to Dean they reflect the production of Naples in 1713, the year in which the manuscript was copied [see DeanH 1987, p.136-137]. According to the House Catalogue Rosenthal had suggested that some of the anonymous arias might be from Handel, but they have not been identified apart from one, 'Il tricerbero umiliato' from Rinaldo [see a letter from James Hall dated 27 April 1963, Letter book IV, f.21 in the Coke Collection]. On f.190v are two minuets for keyboards signed 'Spinelli fecit'; no information has been found relating to a composer of this name active in Southern Italy at the beginning of the 18th century. There is an incomplete index on f.191
